The Heber Valley Railroad — affectionately known as the ‘Heber Creeper’ — winds through one of Utah’s most scenic mountain valleys between Heber City and Vivian Park in beautiful Provo Canyon, offering spectacular views of Mount Timpanogos, Deer Creek Reservoir, and the Provo River. The railroad follows a route established in 1899 and uses historic steam and diesel locomotives to carry passengers through lush meadows, alongside sparkling streams, and through canyon walls that glow golden in the afternoon sun. The railroad hosts a variety of excursions throughout the year, including wildflower runs, fall foliage specials, murder mystery dinner trains, and the iconic North Pole Express holiday trains beloved by families across the region.
