The Grand Canyon Railway has been transporting passengers through the stunning Arizona high desert to one of the world’s most iconic natural wonders since 1901. Departing daily from the historic depot in Williams, Arizona, this beloved heritage railroad carries guests on a scenic 65-mile journey to the South Rim of Grand Canyon National Park aboard beautifully restored early 20th-century coaches. The two-hour trip features onboard entertainment including cowboy musicians, strolling performers, and mock train robberies that delight riders of all ages. Upon arrival at the Grand Canyon Village Historic District, passengers have several hours to explore the rim before the return journey. A variety of car classes are available, from coach to luxury dome and parlor cars. Special seasonal events include the Polar Express holiday train, Steam Saturdays featuring vintage steam locomotives, and themed holiday excursions. The railway is a National Historic Landmark and offers an environmentally friendly alternative to driving to the canyon, removing thousands of cars from the roads each year.

1 Review on “Grand Canyon Railway”
This is the best way to get to and see the Grand Canyon. The entertainment, refreshments, and service is top notch. We had a nice, relaxing journey to arrive at and return from the canyon, with plenty of time to explore the village. Kids of all ages will love this adventure. The accommodations are classy and clean. The bonus is not having to deal with the traffic in the village once you arrive.
