More than just a theme park attraction, the Disneyland Railroad is a world-class heritage railroad that preserves the “Age of Steam” with remarkable authenticity. Operating on a 1.2-mile narrow-gauge loop in Anaheim, California, the line features a fleet of five genuine steam locomotives, including three historic engines built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works between 1894 and 1925. Originally used for industrial hauling in sugar cane fields and sand quarries, these engines were meticulously restored and are maintained today by a specialized crew of boilermakers and engineers. The 18-minute “Grand Circle Tour” provides a vintage excursion experience, complete with traditional whistle signals, authentic telegrapher’s offices at the stations, and a passage through the legendary Grand Canyon and Primeval World dioramas.
