The Como-Harriet Streetcar Line in Minneapolis, Minnesota, operated by the Minnesota Streetcar Museum, is a restored segment of the Twin Cities’ once-vast streetcar network that at its peak was one of the largest in North America. The line runs vintage electric streetcars between Lake Harriet and Bde Maka Ska (formerly Lake Calhoun) along a scenic lakeside corridor in southwest Minneapolis, offering a genuine 15-minute round-trip ride aboard beautifully restored cars from the 1890s through the 1940s. The museum’s collection reflects the full history of Minneapolis street railways, and the lakeside setting makes every excursion a delight from May through early October. Streetcars operate on weekends from late spring through early fall, and on weekday evenings during summer, entirely operated by dedicated volunteers.
