The 1880 Train, operated by the Black Hills Central Railroad, travels through the heart of the Black Hills of South Dakota on a 20-mile round trip between Hill City and Keystone — a journey that passes through some of the most picturesque scenery in the Great Plains. Pulled by authentic steam locomotives dating back to the late 1800s, the train winds through ponderosa pine forests, past granite outcroppings, and through rocky cuts in the hills. The route passes near the Crazy Horse Memorial and offers views of the legendary Black Hills landscape that inspired reverence in the Lakota Sioux for centuries. The railroad has been in continuous operation since 1880, making it one of the oldest continuously operating railroads in the American West.

I had a good time here playing on the tracks.
I laid the track swing a hammer.
